No More Fun 2023 -

No More Fun is an ongoing suite of prints and an evolving costume, props, and performances. The project is an excavation of an 1876 political-satirical publication, Fun, using this source text to think about London then, now, and into the future, as well as reflect on my own experience. I am exploring madness, arch masculinity, moments of the eerie and the ugly. No More Fun also deals with the history of printmaking – with performances in the guise of a drunkard printmaker ‘Toppin Bobbin’, a melding of 16th century woodcutter and doomsday prophet Adam Toppin and 18th century engraver and satirist Tim Bobbin.
